The research group involved in the project has a deep knowledge in drug formulation, analytical development, micro and nanomedicines, drug permeability through biological membranes, in vitro and ex-vivo models. The R+D projets are focusing in new pharmaceutical alternatives, based on biocompatible polyelectrolyte-drug complexes, to optimize tropical "neglited deseases" (chagas and Leishmanisis) and "rare" desease (chistic fibrosis) treatments, trough the desing of micro/nano particulates drug deivery system for topical, peroral and intrapulmonary administration.
