BIO

Luca Grisanti received his PhD in Chemical Sciences at the University of Parma (Italy) in 2011, in the group of A. Girlando and A. Painelli. He was Postdoc at the University of Mons (Belgium) in the group of D. Beljonne in the and then at the "International Centre for Theoretical Physics" (ICTP) in Trieste, (Italy) working between computational material science and biophysics. In 2016 he joined SISSA (Trieste, Italy) as a Post-doc in the group of S. Baroni. From 2018 to 2022 he was an associate researcher at the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb (Croatia). In 2022 he joined the institute Materials Foundry of the National Research Council (CNR-IOM) in Trieste, Italy as researcher. His main research interest focuses on the modeling of excited states and computation of optical properties of (bio-)molecular systems, and their relation with structure and dynamics. He's involved in several research projects. Beyond academics, he is interested in science communication and dissemination.
