Dr Santi Sala obtained his PhD in Chemistry by the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2005, with his thesis on particle design by supercritical fluids technology carried out at Materials Science Institute of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC). He holds as well and MBA obtained obtained in 2016 at Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
In 2007 he became research associate in the Spanish Biomedical Networking centre on Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN). He is author of 24 publications in SCI journals and inventor of six national and international patents, 3 of them under exploitation. With a strong background on applied research projects and technology transfer issues from academia to industry, at present he is founder and CEO of the spin-off NANOMOL TECHNOLOGIES, a science and innovation driven company providing cutting edge solutions to process, structure, formulate and characterize, at micro and nanoscale, active molecules of pharma, biotech and cosmetic companies.
