Researcher and scientific manager of R&D projects involving industry-academia partnerships (from national and international programs) at the Nanomol Group of the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC) since Dec. 2014.
Extensive training in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences: bachelor's degree, MSc, and PhD in Pharmacy at University of Barcelona (UB). International experience at the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Biopharmaceutics and NutriCosmetics of the Freie Universität Berlin (Germany), at the Faculty of “Ciencias da Saude” of the University of Porto (Portugal), and at the Institute of Biopharmaceutical Technology of the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen - University of Applied Sciences (Giessen, Germany).
She has become specialist in the manufacture, physicochemical characterization, and preclinical studies of new types of nanoparticulate systems for technologically advanced applications in pharmacotherapy. She actively has participated in consultations with the AEMPS Innovation Support Office and in Scientific Advice procedures with the EMA Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP), and she is leading the design and preparation of the documentation in order to bring reformulations based on nanostructured systems to Phase I/II clinical trials.
Author of 20 peer-reviewed scientific publications (in 5 of them as corresponding author) (https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2502-225X), and co-inventor of an international patent.
